President of India's Buddha Purnima Greetings

The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, in her message on the occasion of Buddha Purnima which is being observed tomorrow, has said: -
"On the joyous occasion of Buddha Purnima, I convey my greetings to all my fellow citizens.
Lord Buddha gave the world the message of truth, compassion and humanity. He taught us to get rid of the torment of desires, and end suffering by treading the path of right conduct. May the teachings of the Enlightened One guide our thoughts and actions, and also inspire us to work for peace and harmony".
