President Receives First Copy Of Biography Of Late V.b. Raju

A copy of the book ‘V.B. Raju – a visionary leader’, a biography containing literary tributes to Late Shri V.B. Raju was presented to the President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee at a function at Rashtrapati Bhavan yesterday (December 18, 2013).

Speaking on the occasion, the President described Shri V.B. Raju as a freedom fighter, an able administrator and a champion of the causes of the common man. He said Shri Raju was a leader who influenced the course of history of the Telugu-speaking people by fighting for freedom during the liberation movement in the erstwhile Nizam’s domain.

The President said Shri Raju utilized several important positions that he held in his life time for the welfare of the people. He was a man of true principles and placed his welfare behind those of the people he served.
