President of India’s Message on the Eve of National Day of Lao PDR

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic on the eve of their National Day (December 2, 2015).

In his message toHis Excellency Mr. Choummaly Sayasone, the President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, the President has said, "On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to extend warm greetings and felicitations to the Government and the people of Lao PDR on the occasion of your National Day.

Our two countries share warm and friendly relations based on historical and cultural linkages. Over the years, we have worked together closely in a spirit of trust and confidence. I am happy that our cooperation has expanded in many areas and this has witnessed a positive manifestation in the recent visit of Vice President of India to your esteemed country. India is determined to further consolidate this partnership.
