President of India Sends His Greetings to All Ranks of the Bsf on Its Raising Day

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to all ranks of the Border Security Force on its 49th Raising Day.

In his message the President has said, "I am happy to learn that the Border Security Force (BSF) has completed 49 years of its glorious service to the nation on December 1, 2014 and will be celebrating 2015 as the Golden Jubilee Year.

Ever since its raising, the BSF has made vital contributions to the security of the nation, both on border as well as in the arena of internal security. It has also fulfilled its responsibility in counter insurgency and anti naxal operations.The BSF has earned a formidable reputation as an elite and professional organization by the dint of its hard work, devotion and sacrifices in the service of the nation.

On the occasion of 49th BSF Day, I convey my greetings and felicitations to all ranks of the Border Security Force and their families. I wish the Golden Jubilee celebrations every success”.
