President of India Condoles the Passing Away of Shri V. Rama Rao

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the passing away ofShri V. Rama Rao, former Governor of Sikkim.

In a condolence message tohis wife,Smt. Vasantha Kumari, the President has said, "I am sad to learn about the passing away of your husband, Shri V. Rama Rao, former Governor of Sikkim.

Shri Rao served the nation in different capacities during his public life. He worked for the welfare of the State of Andhra Pradesh and its people, including asa Member of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Council for four consecutive terms from 1966 - 1990. Thenation will always remember him for his contributions and pursuit of excellence in public life.
