While India Has Produced Many Eminent Scientists Why is It That We Have Not Produced a Single Gold Medallist at the Olympics?

In my opinion there are two ways we can achieve this. The first is to identify talent at a young age and then develop the talent over a lifetime. Another would be to ask the three wings of our Armed Forces to set-up a separate wing for training Olympic athletes from a very young age.
