Information For Public Regarding Procedure For Visiting "Nature Trail"

The President of India, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil inaugurated the 'Nature Trail', in the President's Estate at Rashtrapati Bhavan on December 13, 2008. The 'Nature Trail' has been developed with a view to create awareness about the best practices for conservation of the eco-heritage of the Estate through direct intervention in an eco-friendly Township.

It has been decided to keep the 'Nature Trail' open for visitors in groups on Saturdays from 1000 hrs to 1300 hrs. The groups are required to make their own arrangements for to and fro journey to Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Groups intending to visit should write to Deputy Military Secretary to the President, President's Secretariat, Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi-110004 at least 3 days in advance along with a list of names of group members, their addresses and number of vehicles. The application should be sent by the Head of the group. The telephone number for contacting the Office of the Deputy Military Secretary to the President is 011-23015321 and Fax No. is 011-23014570.

Visitors would enter through Gate No.35 of the President's Estate opening at the North Avenue. If the group is arriving by vehicle, entry for vehicles will be allowed upto the designated parking area inside the Estate. At the end of the walk through the 'Nature Trail', visitors will assemble at the Musical Fountains of Rashtrapati Bhavan for departure through Gate No.35.
