President of India’s Message on the Eve of National Day of Spain

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the King and the people of Spain on the eve of their National Day (October 12, 2015).

In his message to His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain, the President has said, "On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, I convey warm greetings and felicitations to Your Majesty and to the people of Spain on the occasion of your National Day.

Relations between our two countries have intensified in recent years and our ties have expanded to embrace new areas of common interest. The year 2016 will mark 60 years of diplomatic relations between India and Spain, offering both countries the opportunity to work on realizing fully the true potential of our partnership.

Please accept, Your Majesty, my best wishes for your personal health and well-being, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Spain”.
