President of India’s Message on the Eve of National Day of Sao Tome and Principe

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people ofthe Democratic Republic of Sao Tome and Principe on the eveof their National Day (July 12, 2016).

In a message to Mr. Manuel Pinto da Costa, the President of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Principe, the President has said, "On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it is with pleasure that I convey to you – and to the Government and the people of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Principe, warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day.

India and São Tomé  and Principe have traditionally enjoyed warm and friendly relations. I am confident that our developmental partnership will be strengthened in the years ahead to the mutual benefit of the peoples of our countries.

Please accept, Excellency, my good wishes for your personal health and well-being – and for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people the Democratic Republic of São Tomé  and Principe.”
