President of India’s Message on the Eve of National Day of the Republic of Korea

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Korea on the eve of their National Day (August 15, 2016).
In a message to Her Excellency Madame Park Geun-hye, the President of the Republic of Korea, the President has said, "On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it is with great pleasure that I extend warm greetings and felicitations to you and to the Government and people of the Republic of Korea on the occasion of your National Day.
Our two peoples share bonds of kinship deeply rooted in our cultural and civilisational ties that have flourished over the centuries. In recent times, our relationship has been further strengthened through shared democratic ideals and values of rule of law, respect for diversity and open and transparent systems. We have converging interests in promoting peace, prosperity and development in our respective regions and the world. This shared vision offers many possibilities for cooperation in the framework of our Special Strategic Partnership.
I take this opportunity to convey to Your Excellency my best wishes for your good health and well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of the Republic of Korea”.
