President of India’s Message on the Eve of National Day of Nigeria

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and the people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the eve of their National Day (October 1, 2015).

In his message toHis Excellency Mr. Muhammadu Buhari, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the President has said, "On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to convey to you, and to the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day.

India and Nigeria enjoy warm and friendly relations. I am confident that our bilateral relations will further strengthen in the years ahead for the mutual benefit of our peoples.

I take this opportunity to convey my good wishes for Your Excellency's health and well-being, as well as for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
