President of India’s Message on the Eve of National Day of Malaysia

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the King and people of Malaysia on the eve of the National Day of Malaysia (August 31, 2014).

In a message to the King of Malaysia, the President has said, "On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, I extend warm greetings and felicitations to you and the people of Malaysia on the occasion of your National Day.

Relations between India and Malaysia are marked by traditional friendship and cordiality. Our strategic partnership encompasses growing ties in trade and commerce, defence and security, science and technology, education, culture and people-to-people spheres.

We look forward to strengthening India-Malaysia relations and for advancing regional cooperation and integration”.
