President of India’s Message on the Eve of National Day of Angola

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Angola on the eve of their National Day (November 11, 2015).

In his message to His Excellency Mr. Jose Eduardo Dos Santos, the President of the Republic of Angola, the President has said, "On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to convey to you, to the Government and the people of the Republic of Angola warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day.

India and Angola have traditionally enjoyed warm and friendly relations. The economic content of our engagement has increased substantially in recent years. Angola is now India's second largest source for crude oil imports from Africa. We look forward to sustained high level contacts with Angola with a view to further widen our expanding bilateral engagement.

Please accept, Excellency, my good wishes for your personal health and well-being, as well as for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Republic of Angola.”
