President of India’s Message on the Eve of Independence Day of Guyana

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana on the eve of their Independence Day (May 26, 2015).
In his message toHis Excellency Brig. (Retd) David Arthur Granger,the Executive President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, the President has said, "On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it is my pleasure to convey warm greetings and felicitations to you, the Government and the people of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana on the occasion of your Independence Day.
India and Guyana have traditionally enjoyed warm and friendly relations characterized by a convergence of views on many global issues of common interest.
I am confident that our close friendship will be further strengthened and our cooperation diversified to our mutual benefit in the years to come.
