President of India’s Message on the Eve of Independence Day of Cambodia

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the King and people of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the eve of their Independence Day (November 9, 2015).

In his message toHis Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, the King of the Kingdom of Cambodia, the President has said, "On the occasion of the anniversary of the Independence of the Kingdom of Cambodia, it gives me great pleasure to convey the warm greetings and sincere good wishes of the Government and people of India to Your Majesty and to the people of Cambodia.

India and Cambodia are linked by close ties of history and shared cultural heritage. Cambodia is an important partner in India’s ‘Act East’ Policy. I am confident that our ongoing exchanges in various spheres will lead to an even closer partnership between our two countries and elevate our relationship to a higher level.
