President of India Condoles the Passing Away of Justice S.H. Kapadia

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the passing away of Justice S.H. Kapadia, former Chief Justice of India.

In a condolence message to his wife, Smt. Shernaaz Kapadia, the President has said, "I am sad to learn about the passing away of Justice S.H. Kapadia, former Chief Justice of India.

Justice S.H. Kapadia was an eminent jurist known for his path breaking judgements as well as unimpeachable integrity. Justice Kapadia’s life of discipline and erudition enabled him rise to the highest position in the judiciary of the country. As a judge and the Chief Justice of India, he made immense contribution to the development of jurisprudence. He will remain an inspiration for the members of legal fraternity.

Kindly accept my heartfelt condolences and convey the same to other members of your family. I pray to the Almighty to give you and your family the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss”.
